Our Story

Since 1969, A.R.E. has been building the finest truck caps and tonneau covers in America. Our journey began in Massillon, Ohio, when founder Sal Gatti realized there was a better way to protect truck beds. The name A.R.E. honors his three oldest children — Anne Marie, Ralph, and Elizabeth — a reminder that family and quality have always been at the heart of everything we build.

From our first fiberglass caps to today’s precision-engineered aluminum and fiberglass systems, we’ve stayed true to Sal’s original vision: create truck toppers that outlast the trucks they protect. For over five decades, we’ve expanded from a single facility in Massillon to multiple locations across Ohio, but our commitment to craftsmanship and American manufacturing has never changed.
